Gatsby Glamour… November 23, 2015 – Posted in: In Love with Jewellery – Tags: 1920's, blog, bride, bridesmaids, Derbyshire, glamour, great gatsby, roaring 20's, vintage, wedding
One of my favourite eras for style has to be the 1920’s, I love the straight edges of Art Deco and the graceful curves of Art Nouveau. If you are planning to add a touch of glamour to your Wedding Day have a peek at our beautiful Marcasite and Opalite Collection with shapes inspired by the roaring ’20’s. Marcasite has been hugely popular over the latter part of last year and the fabulous vintage style sparkle it adds to your jewellery collection has ensured it’s a style that’s here to stay.
Treat your Marcasite kindly, a gentle wipe with a soft cloth is all that’s needed to keep it in tip top condition. Make sure that you keep it away from water which will loosen the stones and from perfumes and body lotions which will cause your Marcasite to become dull. Follow my golden rule which is the same for Pearls and other gemstone jewellery, your jewellery should always be the last thing on and the first thing off! When you’re preparing for your evening make sure you’re dressed with hair and make up complete before you put on your jewellery. Even that final spritz of perfume should be done before you adorn yourself with your fabulous jewels! Caring for your jewellery in this way will maintain it’s beauty for years to come.
